This is your chance to learn about these candidates\, what their issues and priorities are\, and how their views align with your own. \nThe Wisconsin 7th Congressional District is one of 435 U.S. congressional districts\, each with a population of about 710\,000 individuals. DESCRIPTION:Please join the Burnett County Democrats to celebrate July 4 as we participate in our local parades! Wear your BC Dem’s t-shirt\, a patriotic shirt\, hat\, a flag to carry\, etc. We will have our float refurbished and ready. You are welcome to walk with the BC Dem float in either parade\, or both. \nSiren Parade – Assemble at 11:00 am in the Siren Senior Center parking lot. The parade will start about 11:30; depends upon the end of other events scheduled on Main Street. Because of WI Hwy 35 construction\, the parade route has changed and will head south on Hwy 35.\n\nWebster Parade – the Webster parade begins at 1:30 pm. Assemble at 12:30 pm on Perch Street\, one block east of Hwy 35 and Main Street. The parade route follows Main Street throughout the town.

Pay Cash on May 1\, 2026 \nOver 20 million Americans took to the streets during the three No Kings Rallies from June 2025 through March 2026 to protest the current administration’s march toward authoritarianism and its policies that favor billionaires at the expense of working-class and middle-class Americans. National organizations that co-sponsored these rallies\, Indivisible\, 5051\, and more than 200 others\, have designated May 1\, 2026\, as a day of economic disruption. The goal is to demonstrate that by not shopping\, not going to work\, and not attending school\, that We the People have economic power as well as political power. Together\, we can exert economic power to lower costs\, raise wages\, and fund the basics our working families rely on and to advocate for a tax system in which billionaires and corporations pay their fair share. \nSince the late 1800s\, May 1st has become the international day to celebrate the contributions of workers who create wealth through their labor and emphasizes that billionaires aren’t wealth creators. In the United States and Canada\, we also recognize workers’ important role as the foundation of our economy on Labor Day in early September. \nThe Burnett County Democrats support this national effort. The Party also realized that a day of universal economic disruption could be harmful to local businesses. Therefore\, we encourage Burnett County residents to Shop Local\, Pay Cash whenever possible for their purchases on May 1\, 2026. We encourage consumers to not shop at “big-box-stores” that day\, not to shop online\, but rather to use their economic power to support local merchants. \nListen for ads that support Shop Local\, Pay Cash on local radio stations 104.9 The Cabin and 105.7 Willie Classic Country.
